We are glad you chose to explore the beauty of Kea island on an e-bike.
This bike is a mountain bike suitable for the terrain of the island with autonomy over 30 km.
The use of the bicycle requires being familiar and having cycling skills for a simple mountain bike. However, the pedelec system of the e- bike will turn each steep uphill into an easy bike ride.
Let’s start
Turn on the display and choose the corresponding mapping.
- If you choose the turbo mode, you have the maximum help of the electric motor but minimal autonomy (about 35 km).
- If you choose the eco mode, you have a little help from the electric motor but the maximum autonomy (over 50 km).
- The electric motor is activated automatically just by pedaling and it is deactivated when you do no pedal or when you get a maximum speed of 25km.
Brakes
- It is important to familiarize yourself with the brakes by using both of them softly in order to understand the brake's flexibility and reaction.
- Avoid the sharp use of the brakes in a downhill direction.
Gears
- There are 2 gear levers.
- Use your thumb to adjust the lever and downshift to the suitable gear BEFORE any uphill direction.
- Use your index finger to adjust the lever and upshift to the suitable gear for any downhill direction.
- Always change gear levers softly while pedaling with mild strength and power.
Charging
- The charger has 2 plugs, one is adjusted to the power outlet and the other on the e-bike frame right below the handlebar.
- If the battery is completely empty you'll need about 5 hours for a full charge.
- Both charger and charging procedure must remain and take place in the shade throughout the whole proccess.
For your safety
- This bike is suitable for central asphalt road, dirt road and paths.
However,
- Always drive on the right side of the road.
- When you want to turn, raise your hand indicating the direction you want to turn.
- Always respect pedestrians and prioritize other vehicles if and when needed.
